Atlanta, Georgia Trip Part 1

Me travel? Not much, just trapped in NY/NJ with a little bit of travel to Philadelphia. I decided a few years ago it's time for me to branch out. I want to explore the states and beyond. I've travelled to Boston (which was a disaster because I slept in the hotel room my entire's a long story). My favorite city that isn't really a city was Washington DC. The sightseeing and eateries are great, I can go to DC every year!

I went to Atlanta, Georgia for the first time during Halloween and it was amazing.

In part 2 I will be go in depth with my visit to the Martin Luther King Jr Memorial and The Ebenezer Baptist Church, what an amazing experience.

My Acne Regimen

I have acne. It's a phrase that is seen before it's said and it's a part of me. I have acne scars and hormonal breakouts (I get no breaks). I decided to see a Dermatologist and get professional advise about what to do about my problem skin.

Previously I have used Proactiv, Murad, Clinique and many many other brands to combat my problem skin. I always noticed slight changes, but noting significant. I need prescription grade medication.

I am getting older and I want to make a concerted effort on having and maintaining healthy skin.

My doctor was amazing, very informative and made me feel comfortable!

Here is what I'm using:

Morning I use Neutrogena Ultra Gentle Daily Cleanser then I use Aczone (prescription), followed with my Aveeno Active Naturals Positively Radiant Moisturizer, SPF 30

Night I use Neutrogena Ultra Gentle Daily Cleanser, Aczone and Tretinoin Cream (two prescriptions) with my CeraVe Moisturizers, Moisturizing Cream

It's been two week and in the beginning I was totally dishearten at the thought of having such a strict regimen to follow. I think I've settle into the routine and I have noticed some changes. After a two months of use I will post before and after pictures! Wish me luck! What do y'all use to combat acne?

Graphic Novel Review: The Wicked and The Divine Vol 1

I purchased The Wicked + The Divine Vol. 1, The Faust Act on Amazon The Wicked + The Divine Vol. 1 at the beginning of the summer. I desperately wanted to get into reading comics again and I heard great things about   WicDiv (such a cool nickname) and decided to dive in head first by buying the Volume 1, which comprises of comics 1-5. I'm happy I dived in...Amazing!!

The quality of Kieron Gillen's writing connects you to all the characters and you become intertwined in the world that he's created. I will not give away any spoilers, but Wiki has a very compact simple explanation:
"The narrative follows a young teenage girl, Laura, as she interacts with the Pantheon. The Pantheon is a group of twelve people who discover that they are reincarnated deities. Their discovery grants them fame and supernatural powers, with the stipulation that they will die within two years. This is part of a cycle that repeats every ninety years, known as the Recurrence"

Besides the quality of the writing the art by Jamie McKelvie is top notch, look at Lucifer (Luci for short)
